1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 390 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle needs work.

Up for auction is a very rare 1969 Ford mustang Mach 1 “S” Code Fastback. This is a matching numbers car sold with the original block and transmission. The matching partial VIN is still stamped in the block. The block appears to be OK but it will definitely need to be evaluated/hot tanked to see if it is a rebuildable. It appears as though the original cylinder heads are also present but they will need to be evaluated/overhauled

This mustang was sold new at BJ Werner Ford in Garfield New Jersey. It is wearing some of its original paint, Silver jade metallic. I have a Marti report to confirm how this car was ordered. It is a true traction lok rear end, big block, four speed car. It came originally with power steering and power front disc brakes.

As you can see in the photos there is some rust that needs to be repaired. The front & rear floor pans need to be addressed. The hood needs to be replaced as it has quite a few dents. Lower fenders need to be repaired. Lower parts of the doors need to be repaired. lower half of the quarters need to be repaired.

The doors open and closed nicely. Inner & outer rocker panels are in good shape. All the glass is present and in good shape.

Bumpers will need to be replaced. The engine compartment shock towers and cross braces are extremely solid. The original VIN number is still intact in the dash.

This car is a candidate for a full restoration but is mostly complete. Clearly it does not run and drive. It will be sold with a clear Florida title that matches the Marti report and the VIN on the car.
